ISRICM-EUis a one-year project that supports people who have fled the war in Ukraine and are now living in EU countries. The project helps refugees feel included and build a new life by offering job-related training, skills development, and practical support. By working closely with local communities and organisations, ISRICM-EU aims to help refugees find opportunities, feel supported, and take part in society.

ISRICM-EU – Strengthening Refugee Integration Across Europe

AMIS – A More Inclusive Society is a Danish partner in the ISRICM-EU (Innovative Solutions for Refugee Integration and Crisis Mitigation in EU Member States)project, co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+). The project brings together organisations from several European countries to develop innovative and sustainable approaches that support the integration and well-being of Ukrainian refugees through social inclusion, employment, housing support and mental health services.

As part of the project's dissemination strategy, the official ISRICM-EU project website was developed and published in  2025. The website serves as the central communication platform for the international partnership, presenting the project's objectives, activities, partners, news and forthcoming results. It provides stakeholders, practitioners, public authorities and refugee communities with accessible information about the project's progress and creates a shared platform for exchanging experiences and good practices throughout the implementation period. This AMIS website was published in October 2025.

In Denmark, AMIS is working closely with municipalities, civil society organisations, universities and refugee communities to strengthen local integration efforts and ensure that project activities are based on the needs and experiences of Ukrainian refugees. Cooperation with organisations such as Bevar Ukraine, DIGNITY, the Danish Red Cross and local authorities contributes to developing practical, evidence-based solutions that can be replicated in other European contexts.

By the end of 2025, significant progress had been achieved across the Danish work packages. Integration programmes had been designed and initiated, stakeholder consultations and field activities were underway, comparative analyses of housing and social services were progressing, and the development of guidance materials and mental health support resources had reached an advanced stage. These activities provide the foundation for the project's final deliverables, dissemination events and policy recommendations to be completed during 2026.

The ISRICM-EU website will continue to be updated throughout the project with news, publications, events and practical resources, ensuring transparency and broad dissemination of the project's outcomes to stakeholders across Europe.

Lasting impact

The project demonstrated that successful integration requires more than emergency assistance. By combining employment support, social participation, housing guidance and mental health services, ISRICM-EU developed practical models that can be transferred to other European countries facing similar challenges.

The knowledge, guides and recommendations developed by AMIS continue to support municipalities, NGOs and refugee organisations in creating more inclusive communities where displaced people can participate actively in society and rebuild independent lives.
