Overview

- Focuses on inclusive, rights-based storytelling and communication practices for people with intellectual disabilities

Main Purpose
Strengthen the ability of Danish, Ukrainian, and Moldovan civil society organisations to:

- Create inclusive media narratives
- Promote dignity and agency of people with disabilities
- Ensure people with disabilities actively shape their own stories
- Address power imbalances in communication and partnerships
Core Objectives
- Objective 1: Strengthen organisational capacity for inclusive and equitable storytelling.
- Objective 2: Empower self-advocates with disabilities to share their own stories.
- Objective 3: Develop and disseminate a shared learning toolkit on inclusive storytelling and partnership equity.
Actions & Activities
1. Kick-off Workshop
Actions:
- Conduct hybrid launch workshop with all partners
- Map current communication practices
- Identify power dynamics in storytelling
- Jointly create an Inclusive Communication Charter
Outputs:
- Shared ethical communication framework
- Agreed accessibility and representation principles
2. Story Lab Training Series
Actions:
- Carry out story telling examples in each of the 3 countries
- Run 3 online training sessions led by rotating partners
- Deliver practical learning on:
- Include reflection exercises and group work
Outputs:
- Improved storytelling and communication competencies
- Increased understanding of inclusive narrative
3. Co-creation & Digital Story Production
Actions:
- Facilitate local storytelling teams in Ukraine and Moldova
- Engage self-advocates as storytellers and creators
- Produce short digital stories showing disability inclusion and leadership
- Provide accessibility support and quality assurance
Outputs:
- Real stories created by people with disabilities
- Practical testing of participatory storytelling methods
4. Peer Learning & Reflection Sessions
Actions:
- Hold structured online reflection meetings
- Analyse results and partnership dynamics
- Discuss power sharing, visibility, and collaboration challenges
- Document lessons learned
Outputs:
- Organisational learning records
- Reflections on equitable collaboration practice
5. Toolkit Development & Dissemination
Actions:
- Co-author a digital toolkit: Including other's tools
- Publish toolkit online in English
- Create summaries in:
- Organise a public webinar

- Practical templates and recommendations for other CSO
